What we believe.

We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible.

We believe in the deity of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We believe that the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as God, by definition, are always God and never lost their deity.

We believe that God is, was, and always will be. He is omnipotent and the first and the last. He is holy. When we enter Heaven, we will be entering into the presence of God.  The only way to enter into the presence of God is through faith in God by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross on our behalf (John 14:6, Hebrews 10:19-20).

We believe that Jesus, when He came to earth, was both fully God and fully man.  We believe that He died on the cross as a perfect sacrifice pleasing to God (Romans 3:25-26), and that He bore our sins on His body to make us righteous (1 Peter 2:24, 2 Corinthians 5:21). He rose again on the third day because death could not defeat Him.  He will return to earth to rule and we, individually as well as corporately, should be prepared for that day.

We believe in water baptism, which is the public display that we were cleansed from our sins by the blood of Jesus.

We as believers were stamped with the seal of the Holy Spirit, who is the "parakletos," that is, our intercessor, counselor, protector and friend. Every believer has a relationship with the Holy Spirit who indwells them (Ephesians 1:13).

We also believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is distinct from the Spirit's indwelling (Acts 19:1-6), and is a sovereign act of God for empowering the believer to preach Jesus in power (Acts 1:8).

Without the Holy Spirit, everything we do is by our own efforts and is futile.

We also consider the Great Commission more than just a suggestion. It was a command we must work towards (Matthew 28:19-20).
